Monday Check-Up: Taking The Next Step

Good Monday to you. By now you know the drill. On Monday we review what we should be doing and individually assess the progress we are making.
Today, I am providing you with a tool to help you visualize and keep a record of your progress. Some of us do better when we have visual aids to refer to.
Here is the link to a personal money management checklist that I created to use to check your progress and to continue to work on those things that have not been completed yet. This checklist can be downloaded for your use, or can be used as a guide to create your own checklist if you have not already created something to use to monitor your progress.
This week we will move on to another step in the process for those who are at that point, and that is saving. If you feel comfortable with the job that you are doing regularly monitoring your spending, you have created and are using a practical and realistic budget, and you have spending and credit card use under control, and there is enough money in your budget now to set aside money for saving, let’s do it.
Over the next few weeks we will focus on two things, saving and creating an emergency fund. We will also have some other interesting things related to your success that we will be sharing. Also, we will discuss some easy and practical ways to find extra income so that you have more money to save.
Tomorrow, we have a very interesting article from a guest contributor that you will not want to miss related to financial literacy in America and if it is really working. Our contributor has years of experience in the finance industry and provides a very interesting perspective on this topic.
